Nick Toon—part of the two-person “Toon Team”—is known for his strong work ethic, pro-athlete-level perfectionism, positive attitude and no-nonsense approach to every new real estate endeavor. Nick brings first-hand knowledge of the unique real estate needs of professional athletes and their families, a strong will to win for his clients and a genuine appreciation for privacy and discretion.
A native of Wisconsin, Nick studied Business Management and Nonprofit Leadership at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and played collegiate football before being drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 2012. Real estate was always a big part of Nick’s life growing up—his father also played in the NFL and the family was familiar with the challenges and excitement that come with relocating every few years. After retiring from the game in 2016, Nick launched his real estate career full time.
“I developed a passion for real estate early on in life and knew that after my athletic career came to an end, real estate was what I wanted to do,” says Nick. “While I was still playing, I encouraged my wife, Annie to obtain her real estate license. She was first licensed in Louisiana while I was still playing for the Saints, she quickly caught the bug and it was off the races from there.”
Together, Nick and Annie formed a formidable real estate team, called The Toon Team. Their specialties range from off-market acquisition, buying, selling and leasing to short-term rentals.
“I am extremely competitive, and I do everything I can to win for my clients,” Nick says. “As a former professional athlete, and someone who has achieved the pinnacle of success in my previous line of work, I truly understand and have experienced what it takes to achieve greatness. My work ethic and dedication serve me well in real estate.”
In his free time, Nick can be found with Annie and their son and taking on all kinds of two-wheeled adventures—from trail and mountain biking to road and dirt biking. Nick is also active in Big Brothers and Big Sisters and Impact
Church.

Annie Toon—part of the two-person “Toon Team”—kicked off her career in real estate in 2015 while handling the frequent relocation that came with her husband Nick Toon’s position in the National Football League. She got off to a running start, closing her first sale just two days after obtaining her license. Today, Annie brings her unique ability to understand the needs of professional athletes and their families as well as a deep appreciation for privacy and discretion.
A native of Ferndale in Northern California, Annie obtained her degree in Communications from California State University of Sacramento, played collegiate golf and worked for various sports organizations and university athletic departments including the Sacramento River Cats (Oakland Athletics Triple-A affiliate), Humboldt State University Athletics Department and Arizona State University Men's Basketball program. These up-close experiences helped Annie gain a unique perspective on the complex needs of traveling sports professionals.
“I am a very competitive person and that competition is usually with myself,” says Annie. “I grew up playing golf, which is an individual sport, and I look at real estate the same way. The more I practiced my golf game the better I played—and it’s the same with real estate. The more time I spend studying the market and connecting with people, the more sales I convert.”
Professional and polished, Annie calmly and carefully guides clients through a range of transactions, from seeking, finding and obtaining a first or second home to selling, leasing or locating short-term rentals. In partnership with her husband Nick, Annie’s unwavering attention to detail and concierge-level service has helped make the Toon Team a trusted resource for professional athletes living in Arizona.
“Our days and schedules are never the same, and I love that! “ says Annie. “At different parts of the day, we could be working with first-time homebuyers, investors, athletes or luxury clients. It’s fun to put on those different hats. I also get the opportunity to work with my husband every day which is a lot of fun—we’re able to use each other’s strengths to serve our clients the best way possible.”
When she isn’t out researching the market and advocating for her clients, Annie spends time with her children, supports Big Brothers and Big Sisters and attends and donates to Impact Church.
